On 21 June 2011 the Exile5 CSS team travelled 9,542 km's collectively to sit down together and play some counter-strike source in the old mining town of Ballarat. After our first practice (the night before on LAN) we played well as a team against arch rivals Archaic and were confident in our ability to frag and clutch.

The next morning the team got off the ground against Carnage and NaVi winning both games comfortably setting the scene for a spectacle game in the penultimate round of group stages against the long standing line-up of Vox Eminor. After falling short on the first half on what we recognise as our worst map, the team was ready to concede and focus on the best of 3 elimination stages which seemed destined to be a semi final versus the super star line-up of champions and tournament favourites team immunity.

The underdog team of Qlimax would find themselves top of their group after crawling back the last game of group stages from 12-15 to draw against iM. Surprised but focused we resumed our winning ways against Qlimax in the Semi Finals winning 2-1 and reaching the Grand Final of what was so far an excellent day with no technical stresses. With the team having it's sights purely aimed on the top spot, we gave everything we had and then more to win the match in a stunning upset for the spectators. We thanked the sponsors and organisers for their hard work and celebrated in to the night.
