The champion player-swapping underbelly of the cyber sports world, without a doubt, is the Counter Strike community. To be successfully seated in the top 3, a team needs to have passion and a Mike Tyson, ear biting, drive to win.

Last Sunday, our CSS division won $800 for 1st place the MSI Sunday Mayhem ODC. The score lines for most of the games being so close that the matches could have gone either way.

The team tended to give up a lead every game and then ‘switch on’ to pull a string of rounds together which aided the team play. One of their games vs. TtGIGA, the scoreboard told a different story. x5 came back from 13 - 5 down to win 16 - 13...pretty much the trend of the day.

This puts the CSS team back in the limelight after a major roster change and national championship victory recently.

Iian ‘Snyper’ Turner said: ‘The team is happy with the final result of the ODC. We knew going in we were slightly under prepared due to the recent lineup changes and it looked to be the highest quality of opposition for the 3 ODC's. The level of natural chemistry amongst the team at the moment is a lot higher than the national champion team which is very promising so we're shifting focus to structure and driving efficiency through consistency.’

As national champions, the team now not only competes to win but to retain their title as the No. 1 CSS team in Australia.
