This weekend has certainly proved to be a memorable experience for our very own CS1.6 team and for many of us here at eXile5 as we have come out on top as one of the best CS teams in the country. This will undoubtedly be the first of many great achievements and a great milestone for the eXile5 brand.

eXile5 Lineup- choobie, conz, ferg, kruz, spitty

On Friday 28th our CS1.6 team arrived in Brisbane from around the country, and as far as Perth to participate in the Elysium Community Nationals against some of the country's elite 1.6 teams such as Archaic, v300 and aShock. The eXile5 lineup consisted of conz, choobie and kruz, with the addition of the ex captain of Team Immunity; Ferg, and also Spitty the Singaporean superstar from Team xqR.

Group C:
Archaic (NSW) - apoc, boomser, mse, soren, rumil
evilMonkeys (QLD) - snakewow, padz, zone, sai, wckd
eXile5 (NSW) - choobie, conz, ferg, kruz, spitty
TiTAN (QLD) - incuban, doug, mcf, krowbar, cr8
zk Gaming (NSW) - dippa, fulli, nixske, myztery, xrey

The boys began their journey at 2pm on Saturday with cool 20-10 wins over opponents Evil Monkeys on de_tuscan and ZK Gaming on de_train. The team then soundly defeated tournament favorites Archaic with a convincing score of 29-1 on de_inferno. Archaic were one of the tournament favourites with half of the Australian WCG team who represented the country in 2009 at WCG finals. Brimming with confidence the boys then defeated TiTAN 26-4 on de_dust2 placing themselves at the top of Group C with a impressive score of 4 wins 0 losses.

Following their impressive performance from the first day of competition, the team retained their cool and focused attitude throughout the second day of play. In the Quater Finals eXile5 defeated opponents Athletico on a decider 3rd map de_nuke with a score of 16-14. The team then proceeded into the Semi Finals where they faced ViKINGS whom in the quarterfinals disposed of one of the tournament favourites v300, they came out victorious with scores of 16-8 and 16-10.



The team then advanced into the Grand Final against Team Immunity, who have also powered through the tournament defeating opponents Aftershock 16-10 and 16-11 in the Semi Final. The Grand Finals started off on de_dust2, with Immunity gaining a 9-6 lead at half time, they then proceeded to take second half with a score of 7-1 winning the map 16-7.

The second map was played on de_train where both teams showed smart and impressive play. The first half ended in a a close 8-7 score to Team Immunity. The second half started with eXile5 gaining round after round to lead 14-9, however Team Immunity remained calm and came back to end the half 8-7 which gave them the map and the tournament with a 16-14 victory over eXile5.
