This Friday, New Zealand’s biggest LAN event xLAN and the New Zealand World Cyber Games 2010 is being held at the Pacific Events Centre in Manukau, Auckland.

Team Exile5’s Bad Company 2 team will be battling against 20 teams in both the 4v4 and the 8v8 competitions, with players from all across Australasia.

xLAN is New Zealand’s largest LAN event on the gaming calendar each year, with people flying from all across the country to compete in their respective games.

With over 600 people set to compete at the event, and thousands more spectating internationally, it will be ‘a totally awesome weekend.’ With Gamestah (www.gamestah.com) shout casting the event live it will be easy to keep up to date on the team’s progress and development throughout the event. The Logitech Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Conquest Cup (8v8) is the premier event for the team, where we will be looking to defend our title as current New Zealand Champions against highly respected rivals Team Sidewinder. Exile5 is seeded in pole position for this event, and the format of the competition is pool play and then moving onto a single elimination finals series. The eXile5 pool is as follows:

The ASUS Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Squad Rush Trophy is the second event that the team is entered into, and since the format is 4v4, we are able to enter two teams into the competition. The teams are as follows:

Team eXile5.1 (#4 Seed) – 1MMort4L, 1edge, Krisis6, Bail3y, .Rogue, Retep5

Exile5 is looking to get both of our teams into a top3 finish for the squad rush tournament, and with 19 other teams in the running it’s looking to be an action packed tournament.
