Hey guys wanted to buy a new gaming headset that is comfortable.
I know there was a something happening with a potential sponsor but that doesn't look like it is going to happen now so i'll have to buy one but there is lots to choose from.
I currently have a Logitech $40 unit which is starting to fall apart. Had it for a few years and have been pretty happy with it.

If people can tell me what to buy and in 1 sentence why, that would be helpful. But i only want people to recommend something they have used it.

Price isn't really an issue but i dont need some 8.1 channel thing on my head.

I use the old version of the below plantronics set.
USB (so good sound card not reqd) Never had an issue with them and have had them now for about 6 years. My model is the DSP 500 but now obselite.
I have launched them off the desk onto the wooden floor at least 30 - 50 times also. So pretty tough.

or if you like wireless I have a set of these. they use a Bluetooth dongle that plugs into any 3.5 jack. (so stereo walkman and BT str8 to phones aswell)
Nice and light and the freedom to have a crap and talk on vent :)

I have some Sennheiser's & some BeyerDynamiks. The Senn's were open and the Beyer's were closed ear pieces. Both are awesome for audio quality and the Beyer's are slightly more comfortable... felt ear pieces - nice :P

I like Sennheiser.

I recommend any HD series, they have loud low lows, and crisp high highs.

They aren't noise cancelling, but they've got felt cups, and designed for people with big ears (But they'll be just as comfy for small ones)

Very adjustable.

If you want a tip for buying:
Try some before you buy if you can, don't get a mic attached, get a destop mic (If you've got the room), and read our reviews first!

Sennheiser are expensive though...

200dollars will buy you a AudioTechnica ATH-AD700, me and spach have this headphone and we can vouch for it's awesomeness;

open headphone
no mic
little bass

read reviews on your prospective headphones on www.headphones.com.au for trusted opinions.
