Later this morning (around 9ish) MLE will kickoff with our Call of Duty division participating. In terms of the caliber of teams attending, the manner of professionalism in the way the event is run and the prizes available, the event is only second in size to the Alienware Arena competition held earlier this year, so certainly one of the more significant LAN events held for the CoD community and I think at last check we were seeded #2 to Team Immunity.

Now given we are a Sydney based LAN team, it was quite an effort both financially and logistically to get the team down to Melbourne for the event so on behalf of the division and organisation as a whole I give a huge thanks to management especially krmnl and st3r who have been working with us the whole way helping out with registration, hoodies, flights, travel and so on, as well as Fries who will be joining the boys on the day. I hope this effort can be re-payed with the performance on the day.

I will post up match results as they go and Samson will do proper write-ups when he gets home but other than that many of the matches will be casted at www.gamestah.com from around 9.

Crossfire isn't x5s best map and those who don't know it is a highly offensive map (and they started on defence which didn't help with the morale going into the half on a pretty ugly looking score).

First thanks goes out to the COD team. Today you boys stepped up and played consistently all day. I was very proud to see you boys bring home the x5 win, you deserved it I think based on your attitudes and teamwork.

Magnificent effort and recognition needs to be given to Martin "Ominous" the founder and director of the MLE event. His work, commitment and passion for LAN gaming is profound and the outcomes he is achieving are fantastic.

Congratulations to all of the competitors and teams today. One of my favorite parts of the whole experience was getting to meet all the different players, share stories and watch the games unfold. Was an great lineup of people, attitudes and shared success. Can honestly say I didn't meet a person I didn't like.

Big shoutouts to all the crew from today, thanks to the venue and all the event sponsors who came through with the prizes.

Quick thanks goes out to Pistol clothing in Sydney for their help with the hoodies and to the management team from exile 5 for all their work in the background setting this up. Outstanding effort all around.

Just back from Melbourne. Great great day. Great to meet more people and get to know people better from last time. Auscod has some great personalities and I hope we can have LANs like this more often.

A shame and I apologize to the organizers that we couldn't deliver the final the day deserved because of travel arrangements. I think the first map would of been different if we didn't have to keep an eye on time and obviously the second which was played out for fun. Thanks to Gamestah for casting the matches too, sorry about having to rush you along prior to the final.

Extremely proud of my team for the way we played. We dominated our group and our win against iM is by far our biggest ever. We went for City our fave map and we got through, then they picked Crash one of our most hated, and we still managed to sneak it through. Johnny and our 2 SMGs Anx and Scodelario(serialz) defo our stand out players leaving me and Ministry with not much to do a lot of the time or to feed off scraps.

Credit to Exile 5. If we had to lose I was glad to do it to a classy organization like them, they don't talk shit, they get on with it, and although we did think they were time wasting before final haha, I realized after they didn't quite get what was going on. From Fries, to their core players to their 2 new players for the day. Quality players and gracious in defeat and victory. Hope for a re-match next MLE boys.

Personal highlights of the day for me:
- My first half on Strike v KBS
- Anx going fkn mental after 1 v 4 clutch v iM, looked like a caged beast
- Me scareying Ministry a few times when I smashed the table in either frustration or excitement
- Exo trying to feel me up @ LAN

As for the event, good set up and I liked the table. Even if it was a bit confusing lol. The main delays seemed to come via changing of maps and technical problems. I think someone needs to be at the ready to handle server changes and you also need someone on stand by to assist with technical problems. Apart from that, well run and credit to Omni and his staff for the day.

have to say, you guys really went beyond the expectations of anybody at the event. i don't think anyone would have tipped you to beat iM in the semi-final, but you still managed to do it on two maps. very impressive.

Haha it's Sensuki. He plays for Archaic and is also a COD4 Admin over @ CG and was slutting for the team on the day. He uses that keyboard because its a mechanical keyboard and therefore it is more reliable lol.
