I was tryin 2 change a new graphic card on my computer and after i done , comp just wouldnt work so i double check with all the pulg and stuff, after 10 mins i hear a explosive sounds from my powersupply then everything just shut down ... so i open up the case again and got my computer turn on , everything only last for 3 seconds then went off also the cpu fans r making noise as well............ can any plz tell me wtf is going on with my computer plz need urgent cant wait

what do you mean by "the cpu fans r making noise as well" are they beeping or are they just normal fan noises?

see if u can smell anhthing inside the power supply...

poke it with a knife

1. Turn off the machine before you put your nose near the power supply.

2. If the power supply smells like a something is burning you probably just need a power supply. (approx $120)

3. Your motherboard could have fried. Is there beeps from the computer when you turn it on? The series of beeps tells you what is the problem.

4. If you still have no idea then take your machine to a professional. You could do more damage and cost yourself more $$$

um ... i dont hear the beep sound when i turn on my computer any more. I've tryed with my other CPU on my computer and the resluts r the same. psu dont actually smell bad same to my CPU , so i guess it could be my mobo's problem , mayb its dead already. The cpu fan is making those noise that i never had before and all the fans will only spin for 3 seocnds after i turn on the machine then all stop.

swap ram around if you have spare, if not.
