Exile 5 and DNA went head to head in the grand final of 16v16 on Karkand2 last night contending for top spot.
First round saw DNA as US with a mass push onto the mosque flag and after the first grenades, bullets and AT kits got fired they managed to secure the flag using pretty much the whole team.
From there their infantry and armor pushed forward to the walls and some of the nearby buildings setting up to push onto the Eastern flag. After a few hectic minutes of non stop fire from both sides and some massive arty strikes DNA pushed hard again and capped Eastern.
At this point bleed was put onto x5 and DNA began a very successful lockdown. X5 pushed against this a few times, losing too many tickets in the attempt, but at one stage did manage to cap back although DNA only let x5 do this for a few moments before securing this flag again.
In the end, bleed and some great defense saw DNA take the first round by 79 tickets.
Second round X5 pushed in two waves towards Mosque and Eastern and took a too long securing its first flag.
The firefights on the eastern side of the map were intense with both teams using the buildings and cover well.
X5 knew it had to move quick and with mosque secured did attempt a river crossing whilst half of the DNA team was around mosque. This was almost successful with Gas going grey and Western put under some heavy pressure.
Alas, it was not to be with DNA showing their defensive work once more and managed to push x5 back across the river.
With the amount of tickets lost at this point and not having both flags capped on the Eastern side DNA the final ticket numbers fell below the magic number and DNA took out the finals. The last few minutes of the game were frantic as both sides essentially went pub and kills galore were taken from both teams.
Fantastic job to DNA last night, their defense and superior map knowledge prevailed and they deserved the win after outplaying X5 both rounds.
A big thanks also goes out to nGR crew for all their work last night and over the seasons. We would also like to say a big thanks and shoutout to our scrim partners clan AUS for all their help over the season.
